About Us

Island Dog Coffee was inspired by our dog Duke. In 2015, Duke was homeless, starving, and struggling to survive in Puerto Rico. He was saved by an animal rescue organization and sent to us, where we welcomed him into our family. Eventually, Duke became a Certified Therapy Dog and has spent countless hours comforting hundreds of people in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and anywhere else he is needed.

A few years later, as we sat drinking our morning coffee with Duke at our feet, we were struck by how blessed we were to have found him. His positive impact on the lives of so many people can not be measured. We wanted to help more “island dogs”. But how? We looked at our beloved Duke, sipped our coffee, and the inspiration for Island Dog Coffee was born. Our love for dogs, combined with our passion for great coffee, became our way to give back.

We want everyone to feel the comfort and peace we feel along with the satisfaction of knowing that the coffee you're drinking is helping these dogs find their “furever” homes.

A portion of all proceeds from the sale of Island Dog Coffee will be donated to animal rescue organizations to help find homes for these amazing dogs. Drink a cup! Save a pup!
